- 30 – 50 mm rain over the next three days
- Westerly wind gusts upwards of 60 km/h
- Wind-driven wave action and surge
- Minor flooding possible
Wind gusts attributed with this system are anticipated to be westerly and between 40 km/h and 60 km/h. Residents along the Lake St. Clair and Lake Huron shorelines may experience wind-driven wave action and surge.
Water levels across the watershed remain elevated as a result of significant rainfall events over the past month and will be moderately responsive to additional rainfall. Minor flooding into natural floodplain areas, parks and farmland is possible.
Individuals are reminded to avoid shorelines, watercourses and flooded areas due to dangerous conditions, slippery banks and cold, swift moving water. Children and pets should be kept away from the water.
The Conservation Authority continues to monitor watershed conditions and will issue advisories to municipalities and media should flood issues arise.
Municipal emergency response staff and road superintendents should monitor local conditions closely.
