- Strong northerly winds
- Ice collecting in St. Clair River, potential for ice jamming
- Unsafe conditions along the banks
Water level readings at gauges on both the US and Canadian sides of the St. Clair River are beginning to indicate signs of flow restriction north of Port Lambton. Ice is anticipated to continue flowing into the river as northerly winds carry over into late Friday when they are anticipated to shift north-west.
Individuals are reminded to avoid flooded areas due to dangerous conditions, slippery banks and cold, swift moving water. Children and pets should be kept away from the water.
The Conservation Authority continues to monitor watershed conditions and will issue advisories to municipalities and media should flood issues arise.
Municipal emergency response staff and road superintendents should monitor local conditions closely.
