To find out additional information about the regulated area on your property, or a property for sale, you may want to request a formal property inquiry. The purpose of the property inquiry is to answer specific questions you have about building on the property or completing other works regulated by the SCRCA.
The property inquiry process allows SCRCA staff to do a site visit (if necessary) and then tailor mapping and a letter specific to your inquiry. The more specific you can be, the better. This would allow us to assess the hazards and get back to you with a written response and mapping.
Here’s what you’ll need to file your Property Inquiry application:
- Completed Property Inquiry Form,
- Sketch/conceptual plan of proposed work
(you may choose to draw your own plans using our Online Mapping Tool as a base map), and - Payment of fee – see fee schedule
Payment can be made via cash, cheque, or online payment (Visa or Mastercard).
