If you have determined that your project is within a regulated area, you will need to submit an application to the SCRCA.
Here’s what you’ll need to file your application:
- Download and complete our Permit Application Form,
- A description of the project including an electronic copy of your plan and a map of your property. See our sample plans attached to the permit application form. (You may choose to use our Online Mapping Tool as a base map), and
- Applicable application fee. Please see our current Permit Fee Schedule for more information.
Payment can be made via cash, cheque, or online payment (Visa or Mastercard).
How do I submit my permit application?
Submission by mail or in-person*: 205 Mill Pond Cres. Strathroy, Ontario N7G 3P9
Submission by email to: [email protected]
Once you have submitted your application, the SCRCA will confirm receipt. Please allow approximately 21 days for the SCRCA to review the application for completeness. The SCRCA may require additional information including floodproofing, geotechnical engineer report, or coastal engineering reports depending on the location of the proposed development and complexity of the project.
The above considerations are not a complete list of application requirements. Works including floodproofing and works within the hazard may require detailed drawings prepared by qualified engineers where applicable.
*With staff working a hybrid schedule, we encourage making an appointment to ensure the best staff member is present to assist with any questions/concerns/etc.
