- Strong wind gusts upwards of 65 km/h
- Possible storm surge, minor flooding
- Wave action, possible erosion
Waves are predicted to build throughout the day to one and one half metres early this evening. Residents along the Lake Huron shoreline, in particular the Old Lakeshore Road community of Brights Grove, may experience increased wave action, with the potential for minor storm surge flooding and/or erosion.
Residents are reminded to avoid watercourses, shorelines and flooded areas due to slippery banks and swift moving water. Children and pets should be kept away from the water.
The Conservation Authority continues to monitor watershed conditions and will issue advisories to municipalities and media should flood issues arise.
Municipal emergency response staff and road superintendents should monitor local conditions closely.
This message will remain in effect until Wednesday, September 30, 2020 unless otherwise updated.
