The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority (SCRCA) wish to notify the public of an upcoming trail closure at the Wawanosh Wetland Conservation Area, located on Blackwell Sideroad.
The South Trail Loop will be closed until further notice on Monday, May 9, 2022. “High usage and wet conditions over the past two years have caused the trail to deteriorate,” said Greg Wilcox, SCRCA Manager of Conservation Areas, “We ask that visitors respect the trail closure to allow the grass an opportunity to get established.”
Trails located in the northern portion of the property will remain open, allowing visitors the continued opportunity to enjoy nature at the provincially significant marsh.
